Tutong District Host Festivities Celebrating HM’s 70th birthday

In Conjunction with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's 70th birthday celebration, the Tutong District is currently holding a number of performances at night starting 8.30pm near the Pengiran Muda Mahkota Pengiran Muda Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah Hospital until July 30.
The performances include the Irama Melyau from Kumpulan SURIA Enterprise; Kilauan Emas Karaoke Competition organised by the Bukit Beruang Youth Association; and performances from the Mukim and Village Institutions in Tutong District, to name a few
A performance organised by the secondary schools and sixth form centre will be presented tonight while a stage performance carrying the theme 'Guru Dijulang', organised by the former students of Sufri Bolkiah English School (SBES) Tutong District, will be presented on Sunday.
The Tutong Keriam Malay Association (PESAKA) will present a cultural performance on July 25 while 'Pertunjukan Belia Berbakat' (Performance of Talented Youth), organised by the Department of Youth and Sports (JBS) Tutong District, will be presented on July 26.
The public will then be entertained by a 'Rentak Evolusi Live Band' on July 27 while a stage performance, organised by the Tiong Hua Community Association ofTutong District, will be presented on July 30.
A firework festival will also be held on July 29 at the Tutong Waterfront. The festival will start 4pm-11pm. Cultural dances and musical performances as well as other exciting activities like the night safari, a river cruise along the Tutong River, will be conducted along with the festival.
Visitors especially tourists can also visit the One Village One Product exhibitions to enjoy local products.
