The trial of a twenty-eight-year-old local man who pleaded not guilty to charges of outraging the modesty and attempted kidnapping of a student last year is set for September.

Chief Magistrate Muhammad Faisal bin Pehin Dato Haji Kefli yesterday ordered the trial of Pengiran Shahirul Hamadi bin Pengiran Haji Jaya, to run fromSeptember 19-26, 2016.

The defendant allegedly committed the offence against the 11-year-old student around noon of June 29, 2015 inside the compound of a school in the capital.

The defendant is represented by Counsel Shiekh Noordin while the prosecution is carried out by Deputy Public Prosecutor Hajah Rozaimah binti Haji Abdul Rahman.
