406 Orphans Receive Donations

​Towards giving encouragement and awareness among the orphan to appreciate the importance of education for the future life, 406 orphans in the Belait District who registered under the Pengiran Muda Mahkota Al-Muhtadee Billah Fund for Orphans received donation yesterday. The donation presentation in the form of coupon for school stationary and basic needs for orphans for the year 2020 was held yesterday morning at the Kuala Belait Conference Hall.

 

The contributions were handed over by Yang  Berhormat Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports a Member of Pengiran Muda Mahkota Al-Muhtadee Billah Fund for Orphan's Board of Trustees and Doctor Dayang Nor Imtihan binti Haji Abdul Razak, Permanent Secretary for Planning, Land Use and Environment at the Ministry of Development as Acting Chief Executive Officer of Pengiran Muda Mahkota Al-Muhtadee Billah Fund for Orphans.

 

Also present were Yang Berhormat Awang Hanapi bin Md Siput, Member of the Legislative Council and Awang Haji Abdul Hazis Bin Haji Ahad, Acting Belait District Officer. A total of 182,700 dollars were donated, of which every orphans received 450 dollars. 25 selected and identified companies for the exchanging coupons that are valid for the supply of school stationery in all four districts as well as stores that supply the daily needs of orphans who haven't attended school.
