Kampong Sengkurong A Village Consultative Council and its Women's Bureau yesterday held a Khatam Al-Quran or completion of the recitation of Al-Quran to gain multiple rewards during this blessed month of Ramadhan.

Present were the the Adviser of the Village Consultative Council of Kampong Sengkurong Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Kassim bin Haji Johan and Village Head of Kampong Sengkurong A, Dr Haji Abdullah Hanif bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Dinda Haji Saman, mosque congregants and village residents.

The annual religious gathering was also highlighted with the presentation of donations to 25 orphans in the village.

It was held at the residence of Haji Nordin bin Haji Kasah in Jalan Pasai 2, Kampong Sengkurong.

The village residents conducted Tedarus from one house to another during this holy month.
