The Kuala Belait and Seria Municipal Department yesterday held a Khatam Al-Quran and Doa Kesyukuran at the Conference Hall in Kuala Belait according to a press release issued by the Kuala Belait and Seria Municipal Department.

Fifty personnel and officers from the department attended the event to further enliven it.

Present as the guest of honour was Haji Asminan bin Haji Chuchu, Chief Religious Officer, Belait District.

Also present were the Acting Chairman of the Kuala Belait and Seria Municipal Board, Sarih bin Tabong, as well as officers and staffs of the department.

The event commenced with the recitation of Surah AI-Fatihah led by the guest of honour, and followed by the recitation of the verses from the Al-Quran by the Khatam AlQuran participants.

Meanwhile Doa Takhtim and Tahlil was read by officers from Islamic Studies Department of Belait District, and Doa Khatam was read by Awangku Ibrahim bin Pengiran Haji Tengah.

The event continued with the presentation of certificates to the participants of the Khatam Al-Quran by the guest of honour.

The event concluded with the recitation of Doa Selamat by the attendees led by an officer from Islamic Studies Department, Kuala Belait.
