A local woman was ordered to pay a fine of B$3,000, or serve jail for six months in default of payment, after she pleaded guilty to consuming meth.

The defendant, Siti Hawa binti Mohamed, was arrested at 9.15am on March 20, 2013 at a house in Kampong Kota Batu by Narcotics Control Bureau officers and nothing related to drugs were found in her possession.

However, the defendant's urine sample was later tested to be positive for class A drug methylamphetamine.

Magistrate Hajah Ervy Sufitriana binti Haji Abdul Rahman presided over the case yesterday.
