The Ministry of Defence (MinDef) commemorated Nuzul Al-Quran with a special talk at the ministry's surau at Bolkiah Garrison in Berakas.

Among those present were First (Rtd) Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Awang Abdul Aziz bin Haji Mohd Tamit, the Deputy Minister of Defence and Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Paduka Seri Mohammad Tawih bin Abdullah, the commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces.

The talk entitled Al-Quran, the Cure for Spiritual and Physical Ailments was delivered by Awang Abdul Rahman bin Haji Ajak, an undergraduate in Islamic Philosophy at Egypt's University of Cairo.

Among other things he shared that Al-Quran can cure the soul and the body and bring calmness if one practises its teachings, especially in Ramadhan.
