In ensuring to provide the parents or guardians accurate assessment of students' academic and nonacademic progress, Sayyidina Husain Secondary School has conducted a parent-teacher meeting which was held in its multipurpose hall.

Present at the meeting were the Deputy Principal, Dayang Hajah Juridah binti Haji Tamin, subject teachers, non-teaching staff, parents and students.

During the meeting, parents and teachers discussed their children's progress in school which involve academic, non-academic, and discipline matters.

Other than that, teachers also welcome input from parents about their children such as information about how they are behaving at home, their habits, their learning style, what they like to do or what they are good at.

Other important input the teachers can get from this meeting is to find out if the students are experiencing any difficult situation outside the school such as family problems, personal problems, medical problem, or anything else that may affect the children's mood or behaviour especially in learning.

Knowing of such changes will help the teachers to provide the students with necessary support in classroom.

As parents, they know their children's personality, habits, strengths and weaknesses.

The teachers, on the other hand, have been trained professionally in the best methods of teachings, meeting individual student's needs, how to control classroom behaviour and how to help the students succeed in school.

Such meeting is hoped to provide ample opportunity between parents and teachers to work together as a team in order to give the best help for the students as a whole.
