KAMPONG KIARONG, KIULAP

In the spirit of the holy month of Ramadhan, the Women Graduates Association of Brunei Darussalam (PSW) yesterday held a Khatam AlQuran ceremony which took place at the Jame' Asr Hassanil Bolkiah in Kampong Kiarong.

Some 80 members from various associations under the Women's Council were invited to take part in the religious event, led by Pengiran Hajah Zabaidah binti Pengiran Haji Kamaluddin, President of PSW.

The ceremony commenced with a mass recitation of Surah alFatihah followed with the recitation of verses from the Al-Quran. It later proceeded with the recitation of Tahlil and Doa Arwah as well as the Dikir Marhaban.

It then ended with the recitation of Doa Selamat and Doa Allah Peliharakan Sultan.

The religious event is among the association's annual activities during the month of Ramadhan with the objectives to encourage love among the participant in reading the holy Al-Quran as well as to foster closer ties between association members.
