DPMM FC have been handed a mouth-watering draw alongside Hougang United FC, Warriors FC and Tampines Rovers FC in Group 'A' in this year's Singapore League Cup.
The three-time League Cup winners have had a frustrating campaign in their defence of the S League title which saw them plummeted into fifth but head coach Steve Kean has his sights firmly set in the cup competitions.
The S League holders also have a two-legged affair against Filipino outfit Ceres La Salle in the Singapore Cup to look forward to after they negotiate a league title against Balestier Khalsa.
Meanwhile, defending champions Albirex Niigata (S) will set their sights on a treble after being drawn in Group 'B' alongside Geylang International FC, Balestier Khalsa and Home United FC.
The incumbent league leaders have been in devastating form and will be making their defence in both cup competitions.
DPMM FC had a premature stay in the competition last year after crashing in the group stages with defeats over Geylang and Hougang.
Present during the Singapore League Cup draw event was Lim Chin, Chief Executive Officer of S League.
