​Towards empowering a continuous healthy lifestyle, the Ministry of Health through the Health Promotion Centre with the cooperation of the Mukim Bangar Consultative Council yesterday morning held a Healthy Mukim for Mukim Bangar, Temburong Programme and World Physical Activity Day Celebration 2019. The event took place at the Bumiputera Commercial Complex in Bangar Town.

The event was launched by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohammad Isham bin Haji Jaafar, the Minister of Health. In the programme, the Minister of Health presented Health Ambassador and Physical Activity Ambassador Certificates. Various activities were lined up throughout the programme such as cycling, walkathon and health exhibition. One of the Health Promotion Centre's initiatives is the Second Health Programme which aims to empower the local community to practice a continuous healthy lifestyle through the relevant health activities and programmes.

The Ministry hopes the activity will not only foster better relations among the residents but also cooperation between the Ministry of Health and non-governmental organisations, the private sector as well as the public to further reinforce commitments in nurturing a healthy lifestyle in daily life.
