Ex-Assistant to Embassy of Japan in Brunei Darussalam Feted

H. E. Noriko Iki, Ambassador of Japan to Brunei Darussalam, held a conferment ceremony at her residence and handed over the decoration of the Order of the Sacred Treasure, Gold and Silver Rays to Pengiran Sukinah binti Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Hidup, former assistant to the Embassy of Japan in Brunei Darussalam.

 

The government of Japan announced the recipients of the 2016 Spring Decorations on the April 29.

 

Pengiran Sukinah received the Order of the Sacred Treasure, Gold and Silver Rays, in recognition of her 30 years of dedicated service at the Embassy of Japan in Brunei Darussalam to promote the bilateral relationships between Brunei Darussalam and Japan, as well as to become a role model to the local staff of the embassy.

 

Pengiran Sukinah started her work as an assistant to the Education, Culture and Information Division just a year after the embassy commenced its work in Brunei Darussalam in 1984, and changed her position to work at the Consular Division from 2004 to 2015.

 

Pengiran Sukinah received a congratulatory message from Fumio Kishida, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan.
