The Brunei Darussalam Scouts Association recently organised an environmental hike for their Cub Scouts Section at Tasek Lama Recreational Park in the capital.

Over 80 cub scouts from Stella's School, Orang Kaya Besar Imas Primary School in Subok, Kampong Mata-Mata Primary School and Tungku Primary School took part in the event.

The activity was conducted by Cub Scouts leaders from the 1066 Cub Scouts Pack of Stella's School with the objective of exposing youth to the beauty of the natural environment. It was also held to promote a healthy lifestyle among the cub scouts.

The programme started with a safety briefing, followed by an aerobic exercise, before the cub scouts hiked along the track, joined by their family members.

Present for the event were Cub Scouts Commissioner Cikgu Hajah Noraini binti Haji Saidi, also the Cub Scouts Leader of Orang Kaya Besar Imas Primary School; Scout Commissioner for Girl Scouts Affair, Dayang Hajah Nor Rahmat binti Sidin; Scout Executive Officer Awang Zainuddin bin Haji Ishak, as well as leaders and family members of the cub scouts.
