Seafood Carnival Returned for a Second Installment

The Seafood Carnival organised by the Fisheries Department, Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism, is back for the second time this year at the Fish Landing Complex in Muara.
The five-day event which began yesterday aims to assist the local operators to market and promote their fisheries products.
Some seven operators each from the aquaculture and capture sectors as well as 13 operators from the processing sector are taking part in the carnival that also aims to promote the consumption of highly nutritious fish and fisheries products.
Members of the public can purchase fresh fish, prawn, crab and squid or fisheries products as well as aquaculture product such as sea bass, pompano, grouper and red snapper at reasonable prices.
Processed seafood products such as crackers, shrimp paste, salted and dried fish and smoked fish are also available.
