The Magistrate's Court yesterday released a local man on bail of B$3,000, or one local surety, to make way for further police investigations into a case of theft from a house.
No plea was taken from forty-nine-year-old Hamzah bin Haji Mohd Noor who is faced with a charge of stealing watches and a mobile phone from a unit at the Tasek Apartments in the afternoon of March 26, 2016.
The charge preferred by DPP Vuina Song carries a penalty of a maximum seven years' jail with a fine.
Chief Magistrate Muhammed Faisal bin Pehin Dato Kefli adjourned the case to May 30.
