According to a police report made by the 70-year-old driver, the road was filled with smoke as he passed through the area.
At first, he stopped his vehicle. When he drove on, he felt a loud bang as if grazing an iron pole at the front left of his car.
Jamming on the brakes, he was stumped to come face to face with a group of men fuming and asking him why he hit their friend while slapping the roof of the car.
The car was not damaged – when the smoke lifted.
