Total Trade in March 2018 increased to 1,145 point 2 million dollars compared to 1,026 point 8 million dollars in March 2017, representing an increase of 11 point 5 per cent year-on-year.
Total exports increased by 20 per cent year-on-year to 754 point 8 million dollars from 628 point 9 million dollars. Total imports of goods fell by 1 point 9 per cent year-on-year from 397 POINT 9 million dollars to 390 POINT 4 million dollars. Meanwhile, the main five contributors to imports were Machinery and Transport Equipment (39 point 4 per cent), Manufactured Goods (22 POINT 8 per cent), Food (15 point 7 per cent), Mineral Fuels (6 point 9 per cent) and Miscellaneous Manufactured Articles (6 point 7 per cent).
