A total of 200 dollars of compound fines was issued to 2 companies in the Belait district for the offence of throwing garbage rampantly in a public place.

Syarikat Norshamny Enterprise and Mesra Alam Sendirian Berhad in Kuala Belait and Syarikat Bibiyana Enterprise Sdn. Bhd in Seria were imposed with compound fines by the Kuala Belait and Seria Municipal Department Enforcement Section for throwing used wooden boards, glasses and metal poles in public places. Meanwhile Syarikat Bibiyana Enterprise has found throwing the company's kitchen garbage in a public place. Both companies were given 7 days to pay the fines and failure to settle the compound, can be fined one thousand dollar for the first offence. For subsequent offences the penalty is a 3 thousand dollar fine and imprisonment of not more than 3 months.
