A local man was sentenced to 11 months imprisonment by the Bandar Seri Begawan Magistrates Court for an offence under the Penal Code, Chapter 22. 32-year old Adi bin Haji Suhaili pleaded guilty for stealing a government property, namely a grating at a sewage treatment pool at the Lumut housing area.

Meanwhile, 37-year old local Muhammad Shahnizam bin Abdul Karim @Stephen anak Manggi, and a foreigner, Nur Ameera Anisa Jesica bte Abdullah, aged 26, pleaded guilty for stealing from their employer's house. The court sentenced both defendants to 8 months imprisonment. The Royal Brunei Police Force reminds the public to avoid any criminal activities.
