A box truck vehicle crashed into the height limit barrier owned by the government in Jalan Perusahaan Serasa, yesterday afternoon. However no injuries were reported.

The Land Transport Department received complaints from the public regarding the incident and the department's Enforcement Section has called the Driver and Manager of Syarikat Rahman & Tew to provide evidence and admit the offence.   The action taken by the department included, issuing a compound to the Driver according to Chapter 39 (1) Section 68 and imposing demerit points, instructing him to undergo a driving test once again according to Chapter 22 Section 68.  

The company also ordered to settle the damage of the government property and the Motor Transport Licensing Authority, MTLA Board will issue written warning to the said company. The department also reminds drivers of transportation companies to drive carefully and not to violate the road regulations as an effort to maintain the safety, well-being and convenience of the public specifically road users.
