A 32-year-old man was killed while six others were seriously injured after two vehicles collided on Sunday (March 11) evening.

A.Santhiran from Kampung Seri Jaya Batu 2 in Batu Gajah died on the spot during the 7.35pm incident along KM17.6 of the Ipoh-Kuala Lumpur road near Kampar.

Kampar OCPD Supt Ng Kong Soon said the car Santhiran was in was travelling from Kampar to Ipoh when the driver lost control of his car and hit a divider.

He added that this caused the MyVi to skid and land on the opposite side of the road and said that the driver is now unconscious and has been admitted to the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital as he has broken both his legs.

He added that all other passengers of the second car - including a three-year-old girl - were also admitted to the same hospital as they were seriously injured.
