The Women's Career Index (FKi) 2018, a gauge to evaluate how women developed at different management levels in Germany, was introduced in Frankfurt on Thursday.
Under the support of federal authorities, FKi is to make the development of career women in Germany transparent and measurable, on the basis of figures and facts.
In 2018, Fki has carried out analysis for over 160 companies with a total of 970,054 employees, among which 370,110 are women. In these cases, 18,174 are executives, and 3,976 are women. Since 2012, the participating companies have seen an average increase of the female leadership from 5 percent to 27 percent.
Introduced in 2012, FKi is an independent measurement that can be adopted by companies and organisations of various sizes and industries. It measures the career path of women in companies, and provides key figures to help achieving the goal of keep bringing more women into successful careers.
