The Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Tahfiz Al-Quran Institute hosts the Semi-Finals of the National Memorising Al-Quran Competition with its interpretation for this year. The 3-day competition began today. Divided into five categories, the competition is one of the annual projects of the Ministry of Religious Affairs in glorifying the Islamic Major Events and among the activities of the National Level Revelation of the Al-Qur'an ceremony every year.

The competition is for participants aged 11 years-old and below who memorize selected verses from Juzuk 30 with its interpretation. For participants aged 17 years and below category, meanwhile, are selected verses namely: iaitu Surah Luqman, Surah As-Sajdah, Surah Yaasin, Surah Ar-Rahmaan, Surah Al-Waqi'ah, Surah Al-Mulk and Surah Al-Insaan with interpretation as well as Surah Al-Kahfi dan Surah Luqman. The 'C' Category is for all age group are participants who can memorise 3 Juzuk that is from Juzuk 1 and Juzuk 3 with interpretation. The 'D' Category is also for all age group participants who memorise 15 Juzuk of Al-Quran thai is from Juzuk 1 until Juzuk 15 with interpretation of Juzuk 12. While, the 'E' Category is for all age groups, who will memorise 30 Juzuk.
