The song "Tanahairku" by the Wardah 2 point zero group from Mukim Seria emerged champions in the Inter-Mukim Patriotic Songs Choir competition. The competition held in conjunction with the country's 34th National Day celebration was held yesterday morning at the Pengiran Anak Puteri Hajah Rashidah Saadatul Bolkiah Secondary School in Lumut.

Prizes were presented by Yang Berhormat Dayang Kairunissa binti Haji Ash'ari, Member of the Legislative Council. Also present were Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Abdul Hamid bin Haji Mumin and Yang Berhormat Awang Hanapi bin Mohd Siput, Members of the Legislative Council. Six groups took part in the competition. The runner-up was Ittihadiyah group with the song "Tekad kemerdekaan". While the Penaga Youths Group, came third with the song 'Tanahairku'. The competition among other things aimed to enhance patriotism and love to the monarch and nation amongst the mukim and village residents.
