Have you got your diary at the ready?

Because here are some of the weirdest, strangest and most outrageous events being held in the UK that have been organised on Facebook.

If you have always wanted to be an animal then the ‘How to: Turn into an animal‘ in Dartford might be the event for you.

You will not be alone as over 3,500 people have confirmed their attendance and a further 17,000 people have registered an interest.

The event, which is not until June 1, 2020, has been organised by The Church of No.

The description of the event reads: ‘Let’s face it. Being Human sucks. We show you in three easy steps how to fully transition across to the Animal kingdom.

‘It’s as easy as; one… two… WOOF!’

The same group have also organised ‘How to: Become a Darlek‘ the following year.

However, if that is too long to wait then on Saturday, March 3 why not pop along to ‘How to hold a pigeon correctly – a brief introduction‘ in Plymouth.

Over 5,600 people have said they are going and an incredible 28,000 people are interested, how many pigeons are there in Plymouth?

A description of the event reads: ‘Learn how to hold a pigeon with this free pigeon holding session. Make feathery friends with Plymouth’s local wildlife, in this fun class!’

Nicholas Revers posted on the group’s Facebook page: ‘Hi, do you have to bring your own pigeon or will one be provided? Thanks.’

Mike Daley asked: ‘Can I use this on other birds such as red chested robins, seagulls and ostriches?’

After a flurry of posts on the page event organiser Claud Glennister had to clarify this was the real deal.

He said: ‘Reminder that this is now a legitimate event. Please actually come. Pigeons are precious babies that need to be held.’

On February 23 there is a ‘Paint your own lesbian mum‘ event in Leicestershire.

Organised by graffiti artist Mezzy AK the event has attracted 5,300 people who have confirmed they are going and 19,000 people have registered an interested.

Mezzy AK described the event, she said: ‘Join us for a relaxing afternoon of arts and crafts, and you too, can come home with a portrait of your very own lesbian mum.’

Questions on the event’s page included: ‘Please could you help? Do you actually paint your lesbian mum, or paint a picture of her?’ and ‘Quick question do you have to bring your own lesbian mum? Or can you paint a lesbian mum already at the event?’

Over 10,000 people have agreed to wish Philip Schofield Happy Birthday outside ITV studios on April 1.

However, that event will clash with ‘Prince Harry’s stag do‘ outside Buckingham Palace on the same day.

It is unknown whether the prince knows he is supposed to be playing paintball, having a curry, singing karaoke and then ending up in a strip club, or whether he actually knows the 42,000 people who are thinking of coming to the event, or whether perhaps he will put it down to an April fool.

If you are stuck this summer with nothing to do then on August 1, ‘Chugging gravy outside York Minster‘ could be the perfect day out for you.

Over 2,500 people have said they will be downing the brown stuff outside the historic church and over 10,000 gravy-lovers are interested.

University of York Memes have organised the event, describing it as: ‘All you can drink gravy: first come, first served. Feel free to bring your own chips and/or sausages for dipping.’

With gravy no laughing matter, there have been lively discussions whether instant gravy made from granules or ‘proper’ gravy.

Organisers confirmed: ‘A limited number of gravy boats will be available on the day, bring your own to avoid disappointment.’

On May 5 cider fans will be descending on Caludon Castle in Coventry  for the ‘Neck a bottle of White Lightning and chong fags‘ event.

Organised by drum and base producer over 3,300 have confirmed attendance and the group’s Facebook page has had countless posts about the finer details of the night.

Slavic Edwards wanted to know: ‘Are we necking the 1L bottle or the 3L’ and Robbie Buxton added: ‘Anyone vaping will be immediately escorted off the premises.’

There are thousands of events organised each month on Facebook.’
