His Majesty Arrival

NEW DELHI, INDIA
His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, yesterday arrived in New Delhi, Republic of India to attend the ASEAN-India Commemorative Summit and the 69th Republic Day of India Celebration, which will be held from 25th to 26th January 2018, respectively.
Present at the Air Force Station, Palam to greet His Majesty on arrival were Shri Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, Minister for Minority Affairs of the Republic of India; and Her Excellency Nagma Mohamed Mallick, High Commissioner of the Republic of India to Brunei Darussalam. Also present to greet His Majesty were Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Dewa Dato Seri Setia Lim Jock Seng, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade; and His Excellency Dato Paduka Haji Sidek bin Ali, High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam to the Republic of India. Upon arrival, His Majesty was presented with a bouquet of flowers. This was followed by a cultural performance.
His Majesty then boarded a motorcade towards a renowned hotel in New Delhi where the Monarch would be residing throughout the duration of the ASEAN-India Commemorative Summit. The commemorative summit, which carries the theme, "Shared Values, Common Destiny" is set to mark the 25th anniversary of dialogue partnership, the 15th anniversary of summit-level partnership and five years of strategic relations between ASEAN and the Republic of India.
