Any views and proposals from the members of the National and District Level committee members are welcomed in further improving the handling and management of every event that will be organized for His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's 72nd birthday celebration, including matters related to early preparations before the celebration's culmination event. The Minister of Home Affairs voiced the matter while chairing the First Meeting of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's 72nd birthday celebration National Committee.

 

Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Abu Bakar Bin Haji Apong also urged all committee members to continuously play their roles with full dedication and high commitment in the early preparations in order to ensure the smooth running of this year's royal birthday celebration. As a result of the meeting, it is hoped that the district officers as chairmen of the executive governing committee of His Majesty's birthday celebration at the district level will hold initial meetings in order to identify suitable celebration events and make reviews to further complete the proposals of the concept and format as well as itinerary of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's attendance at the Junjung Ziarah and Get-Together ceremony with the citizens and residents in the districts. Most importantly, the celebration events line up for this year will be able to attract more involvement and participation from the society at all levels especially the younger generation.

 

The First meeting among other matters discussed the dates of the main events and organizing of the 72nd royal birthday celebration. Among the agenda discussed included the attendance of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam at the Get-Together and Junjung Ziarah ceremony at the four districts. Present at the meeting were Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Lela Cheteria Sahibun Najabah Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Aziz bin Pengiran Jaya Negara Pengiran Haji Abu Bakar, the Yang Di-Pertua of Adat Istiadat Negara; Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Penggawa Laila Bentara Istiadat Diraja Dalam Istana Pengiran Haji Alauddin bin Pengiran Paduka Tuan Pengiran Haji Abu Bakar, the Grand Chamberlain as well as this year's Royal Birthday Celebration National Committee members.
