A septuagenarian lost his life when the car he was driving skidded and crash into the pillar of a fence at a house in Taman Seri Sentosa, Ayer Tawar here, Wednesday night (Jan 17).

The victim identified as Wong Sam, 75, from Taman Sri Indah, Ayer Tawar, died at the scene from serious injuries in the 10 pm incident.

Manjung District Police chief ACP Muhammad Hanif Othman said in a statement that the victim was driving home alone from Ayer Tawar town, in a Kia Spectra.

He said Wong was confirmed dead by the ambulance team and brought to the forensic unit at Seri Manjung Hospital for post mortem. - Bernama
