The Magistrates Court sentenced an Indonesian man to 3 months imprisonment and 3 strokes of the cane for an offence under Immigration Act Chapter 17.

Matori was found guilty for overstaying in the country after his visiting pass expired for 672 days. Matori was detained during 'Operasi Cantas' that was conducted at a rented house at Simpang 66, Ban 6, Jalan Mulaut Kilanas.
