2018 School Session Begins

 January 3rd, 2018  |  11:30 AM  |   460 views

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN

'Back to School' was today's main agenda as the first school session for 2018 began. More than 55 thousand 266 primary and secondary school students across the country began the new school session. From that number, 29 thousand 921 are secondary school students, while 25 thousand 345 are primary school pupils.

In the Brunei Muara district, 38 thousand 971 students began their new school session. The number comprise 17 thousand and 3 primary school pupils and 21 thousand 968 secondary school students. At the primary school level, pupils were clearly seen happy to be reunited with their friends. Educators and teachers, meanwhile, were busy with various other duties, among which was handing out timetables for the students. Coming into school with new uniforms and stationery, further adds to the pupils' determination to seek knowledge and concentrate fully on their studies.

Meanwhile, at the secondary school level, the scenarios were a little different. Students were seen settling in their new classroom surroundings, while teachers were busy introducing the learning outcomes for the year and setting out rules for the students. Their preparations in making revisions before sitting for their big examination this year will be a challenge for class teachers. However, early preparations will certainly be made in a bid to ensure that the students are well prepared. Teachers have also made a number of initiatives to provide revision exercises for the students to ensure they can achieve excellent results in their examinations.
