Brunei Darussalam as the Chairman of the 7th ASEAN Ministers Meeting Responsible for Culture and Arts, AMCA and Related Meeting with Dialogue Partners become the host for the 13th ASEAN Senior Officers Meeting Responsible for Culture and Arts, SOMCA and Related Meetings with Dialogue Partners. The two-day meeting began today at the Centrepoint Hotel in Gadong.

The meeting is chaired by Datin Paduka Doctor Hajah Norlila binti Dato Paduka Haji Abdul Jalil, the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports as the Chairman of SOMCA. The meeting among others aim to present the status and actions which has been implemented following the outcome taken during the 7th AMCA and 12th SOMCA meetings and dan Related Meeting with Dialogue Partners.

The meeting also touched on the current strategic plan in the field of culture and arts 2016-2025, project implementation under the ASEAN-Committee on Culture and Information, ASEAN-COCI platform, cooperation in the field of culture between ASEAN and dialogue partner, relevant initiative related to the proclamation of Bandar Seri Begawan as the ASEAN Cultural City, status implementation of activity in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of ASEAN and other suggestions in related areas. The ASEAN delegation who attends in the meeting are to visit the Royal Regalia Museum, Royal Wharf Arts Gallery, Taman Mahkota Jubli Emas and Damuan Recreational Park.
