A woman has died after being run over by four vehicles – with none of the drivers stopping to help her.
The victim, believed to be in her late 20s to early 30s, was hit by a lorry while walking on a pedestrian crossing in Tulse Hill, south London, on Monday morning.
She was then hit by a second lorry, and then two cars.
According to the Met Police, ‘none of these drivers stopped’.
After receiving a call at around 6.50am, Met Police officers and the London Ambulance Service rushed to the scene on Norwood Road.
The woman was treated at the scene, but was sadly pronounced dead shortly afterwards.
She has not yet been formally identified, and detectives are still tracing her next of kin.
Acting Detective Sergeant Alastair Middleton said: ‘I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision and the moments afterwards to contact us.
‘I would also urge the drivers of all four vehicles to come forward and speak with my team.’
