Obstetrics and Gynaecology Services Operational

In an effort to provide an effective and comprehensive medical and healthcare, the Ministry of Health announced that the Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Pengiran Muda Mahkota Pengiran Muda Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah Hospital in Tutong District is now operational once again. It is now ready to provide services to meet the people's expectation, especially for expecting mothers who are residing in the Tutong District and surrounding areas. The Obstetrics and Gynaecology services are operational since the 5th of December 2017.
Women who need Obstetrics expertise as well as expecting mothers residing in the Tutong District and surrounding areas can now access to Obstetrics and Gynaecology services, which are equipped with existing facilities within the hospital. This includes pre and post natal care services. However, for expecting mothers who are unable to give birth normally, or those who have complications or required intensive medical care, they will be referred to the Women and Children's Centre at the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Hospital for further treatment.
The Ministry of Health will continue its efforts in providing a high-quality medical and healthcare services that are effective and innovative for all citizens and residents in the country, in line with the current and future demands.
