Seven million, sixty one thousand, two hundred twenty dollars and nineteen cents ($7,061,220.19) have been collected until October 2017 for the Mosque Construction Fund. Members of the public once again have the opportunity to make donation to the fund through SMS within these 45 days starting yesterday. The launching ceremony was held this morning at the Dewan Multaqa of the Ministry of Religious Affairs. The establishment of the Brunei Darussalam Mosque Construction Fund is hoped to become as a perpetual platform for the Muslim community to gain deeds from Allah SWT through mosque construction, as well as as a golden to invest for the hereafter.

The launching ceremony was officiated by Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs as the Chairman of the Collection and Issuance of Funds for Brunei Darussalam Mosque Construction Committee. Also present were Dayang Ramlah binti Rabaha, Assistant General Manager, Human Resources Unit, DST Communication as the representative for the Executive Officer of DST Communication and Awang Edzwan Zukri bin Pehin Orang Kaya Johan Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Adnan, member of the Progresif Board of Directors. Donation can be send through SMS by typing MASJID followed by 1 or 5 or 10 or 20 without spacing and send it to 38111 for DST and PCSB users.

Also present were Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Aziz bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Lela Haji Yussof, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs as a member of the Collection and Issuance of Funds for Brunei Darussalam Mosque Construction Committee; Awang Haji Marzuke bin Haji Mohsin, Permannet Secretary at the Ministry of Development; Awang Roslan bin Haji Taja'ah, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Administration and Finance at the Ministry of Religious Affairs; and Awang Haji Serudin bin Haji Timbang, Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary for Core and Religious at the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
