Energy and services poured by the government officers and staff who have retired, as well as their contribution and sacrifice will always be remembered. The words of appreciation were expressed by Awang Mohammad Iskandar bin Haji Idris, Acting Director of Administration and Finance, Corporate Management Section of the Ministry of Development, who is also the Chairman of the Appreciation Certificate Presentation to Officers and Staff who have completed their services from previous year.

The ceremony commenced with a special talk entitled "Meniti Waktu Dunia Persaraan" delivered by invited speaker from the Ministry of Religious Affairs. Certificates were presented by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Bahrin bin Abdullah, Minister of Development. 182 retirees from the Ministry of Development and the departments under it received certificates, comprising 122 men and 60 women.
