She said if she had wanted sympathy, she would have revealed her condition as soon as doctors made the diagnosis shortly after she gave birth to her daughter in 2012.

“If I wanted sympathy, I would have made the announcement much earlier. At that time, I was not making money and could not afford to buy medicine or even milk.

She said she was touched by the response from her fans and the general public.

Hazreen, a medical assistance officer, said they decided to invite a snake handler to their wedding to make it more memorable.
