During the afternoon session, the IBTE Convocation ceremony continued with 764 graduates receiving their certificates in various training programmes.

Out of the stated total number, 481 graduates received the National Certificate of Technical Education, the NTec, 7 graduates received the BDTVEC Skills Certificate 3, (SC3), 9 received the BDTVEC Skills Certificate 2, (SC2) and 267 others received the Certificate of Qualification in Industrial Skills, (ISQ).  The certificates were presented by Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar, the Deputy Minister of Education.  Some of the recipients were from the Sultan Saiful Rijal, Jefri Bolkiah, Nakhoda Ragam and Mechanical IBTE Campuses.

Technical education today plays a significant role in human resource development especially in providing skilled workforce towards improving the country's productivity and economy.  Several outstanding students shared the challenges which they faced during their training programmes.
