Johor Sultan Bestows Award On Kedah Ruler

Sultan Sallehuddin ibni Almarhum Sultan Badlishah has received the Darjah Kerabat Johor Yang Amat Dihormati Pangkat Pertama (DK1) award from Sultan Ibrahim ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar of Johor.

 

The investiture ceremony at Istana Anak Bukit began with a prayer session conducted by Johor Religious Council adviser Datuk Nooh Gadot, culminating in another recited by Kedah Mufti Datuk Syeikh Fadzil Awang.

 

Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Bashah Md Hanipah, Tunku Bendahara of Kedah Tan Sri Tunku Abdul Hamid Thani, Tunku Laksamana of Kedah Datuk Tengku Sarafuddin Badlishah Tunku Sallehuddin and Raja DiHilir of Perak Raja Iskandar Dzulkarnain Almarhum Sultan Idris witnessed the ceremony.

 

After the ceremony, both Rulers signed the Royal Visit Book at Anjung Istana before heading to the Langgar Royal Mausoleum to pay their respects at the tomb of the late Sultan Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah who passed away on Sept 11. — Bernama
