His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah Ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in a titah urges all institutes of higher learning to update their programmes and curriculum in order to produce balanced and holistic graduates in spiritual, intellectual, physical, entrepreneurship and community aspects.

The Monarch says the country seriously needs beneficial disciplines to build human capital.  It is not enough to gain knowledge but knowledge must be learnt to complement other matters.  His Majesty as the Chancellor of the Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College, KUPU SB delivered the titah at the 7th KUPU SB Convocation Ceremony this morning.  In the titah, His Majesty also stresses the need for KUPU SB and other institutes of higher learning to provide critical thinking experiences so that graduates can be useful to the community and country.

​Continuing the titah, His Majesty also takes note of KUPU SB's efforts towards competency to produce authoritative educators besides enhancing its programmes in order to achieve such competence.  His Majesty adds the efforts are precise and wise.  However, the Monarch emphasises the methods of assessment must also be orderly and systematic so that graduates can achieve the aspired competence.
