The regular dialogue between the leaders of Russia and ASEAN provide strong impetus to the development of the multidimensional bilateral ties. Meanwhile, the strong friendship relations between Brunei Darussalam and Russia become the main factor in the development of cooperation. His Excellency Vladlen Stanislavovich Semivolos, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Brunei Darussalam stressed the matters last night at the Reception ceremony in conjunction with 'The Day of Russia'. The ceremony took place at the Rizqun International Hotel in Gadong.

Representing the government of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam at the occasion was Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports. His Excellency, in his remarks, also said that Russia expect more practical achievement this year, in particular the signing of the Agreement on Mutual Exemption of Visa Requirement which will further strengthen the relations between the two countries towards accelerating the development of business, tourism, cultural, educational exchange and people to people contacts.
