University Technology Brunei, UTB, yesterday, held an Award presentation ceremony for the Dean's List and Co-Curricular Activities in conjunction with UTB Convocation Ceremony 2017. Twenty-nine students received the award in their respective fields.

Present was Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar, Deputy Minister of Education, who later presented the awards to the students. The recipients comprised of students of UTB's School of Business, School of Computing and Informatics as well as the Faculty of Engineering. UTB first introduced the Dean's List in 2015. The Dean's List gives recognition to the first, second and third year students who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement in their studies.

Meanwhile, five excellent students in their co-curricular activities also received their awards. The award categories for the co-curricular activities are: Religious Activities, 'Outstanding Life Skill Achiever', 'Outstanding Community Service Achiever', and 'Sportsman of The Year 2017'. The awards were sponsored by the Student Representative Council. Also in attendance were Professor Doctor Dayang Hajah Zohrah binti Haji Sulaiman, Vice-Chancellor of UTB and Doctor Haji Azman bin Ahmad, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Higher Institution, Ministry of Education.
