BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN

28 youths and a national leader will represent Brunei Darussalam in the 44th Ship for Southeast Asian and Japan Youth Programme, SSEAYP 2017. During the program, they will introduce their country's rich heritage through cultural performances. A preview on the performances was held this afternoon at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.

At the same function, Datin Paduka Doctor Hajah Norlila binti Dato Paduka Haji Abdul Jalil, the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, received equipment from a number of sponsors, and subsequently presented certificates to them. During the SSEAYP's 52-days journey, Brunei's participants will join more than 300 youths from ASEAN member countries and Japan. This is Brunei's 32nd participation in the program since it was incepted in 1985. SSEAYP forges understanding and cooperation among the youths through knowing and learning the way of living, social, traditions, politics and economic development of the communities in the region.
