The affixing of a promotion badge for a Prisons Department personnel was yesterday witnessed at Jerudong Prison.

Present to install the promotion was Acting Director of Prisons, Awang Haji Ismail bin Haji Murat, as the guest of honour.

Warder 549 Md Uzaini bin Haji Suhaili was promoted to Probationary Prisons Officer effective October 1, 2013.

The promotion is a strategic mission of the Prisons Department in enhancing the quality of service and spirits of officers towards management and more proper job opportunities.

It is also a career incentive given to prisons officers who have successfully undergone examination and qualification process required in service scheme and rank promotion in the Prisons Department. The officer should display brighter leadership quality and excellent service performance.

Among those present included Acting Deputy Director of Prisons, Poh Eng Hua; Assistant Superintendant of Prisons, Awang Haji Sahli bin Haji Maidin; Training Centre Commandant; management heads; Prisons Department personnel and family members of the promoted officer.
