KUALA LUMPUR

The “Lan Berambeh Anak Sarawak” programme returned for the 10th year, happening at Tun Razak Halls 1 and 2 of the Putra World Trade Centre here today.

With the successful gathering of over 15,000 Sarawakians residing in West Malaysia last year, the Lan Berambeh programme is synonymous with Sarawakians, especially among students and workers here.

Themed ‘Kamek Anak Sarawak’, the programme consists of a talk on education funding by Yayasan Sarawak, ‘Randau’ session with Sarawakian ministers, and a ‘Santai’ session with Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg.

The session opened the floor for visitors to interact openly with Abang Johari, as well as to ask any questions relating to state policies, economy and development.

Apart from that, visitors to the programme can visit booths set up by various entities, including corporations, state agencies and Sarawakian-based businesses.

The event will end with a gala dinner tonight, which will be graced by Head Of State Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud and wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Ragad Kurdi Taib, Abang Johari and wife Datin Patinggi Datuk Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Bujang and other federal and state ministers.
