Bruneian Jailed for 4 Years' Over Drug Charges

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN
A local man was jailed for four years after he pleaded guilty to five charges of consuming meth and six charges of not reporting to the anti-narcotics authorities during a supervision programme.
The defendant, Pengiran Sharifuddin bin Pengiran Tajuddin, consumed meth on December 13 and 15, 2014 and; January 5, 14 and 16, 2015.
He did not report to the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on March 9, April 6, May 4, June 8 and July 6 in 2015.
Senior Magistrate Lailatul Zubaidah Hussain passed the sentence whilst taking into consideration the defendant's previous drugs conviction.
NCB Prosecutor Mahirah represented the Public Prosecutor in the case.
