The goal of the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Sultan's Scholar Scholarship Scheme is to produce the ultimate excellence from among the citizens of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam who are highly educated, skilled and disciplined and capable of leading the future development of the country.  This is in-line with one of the objectives of Wawasan Brunei 20-35, to make Brunei Darussalam renowned throughout the world as a nation whose people are highly educated, skilled and accomplished.  The four recipients of the Sultan's Scholars scholarship today signed agreements with the Yayasan.

The signing ceremony was witnessed by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Suyoi bin Haji Osman, the Minister of Education as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of  Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah.  The recipients signed the agreement along with two guarantors comprising of their parents or closest relatives. The Yayasan was represented by Dato Paduka Awang Eddie bin Dato Paduka Haji Sunny, the Managing Director of Yayasan and Dayang Hajah Donnaliza binti Abdullah Puasa, the Assistant Managing Director of Yayasan. The prestigious scholarship scheme aims to produce outstanding leaders who will contribute to the country's social and economic development as well as act as the successor leaders to lead the nation in upholding the interests of religion, the Monarchy and the Nation.
