The French Embassy in Laos has financed the air tickets of five students for training at the end of September on communicable diseases in Vietnam.

On Sep 8, 2017, the Ambassador of France to Laos, Mrs. Claudine Ledoux, handed the plane tickets to the students at an official ceremony.

Wishing to contribute to the development of health sciences in Laos, France funded the air tickets of five students for training in "Computational Biology for Infectious Diseases" at the Quy Nhon Summer School in Vietnam.

At the end of September, the Vietnamese University is organizing a week of lectures and group work sessions to provide students, researchers and professionals with basic concepts and practical experience in quantitative analyzes of infectious diseases.

The programme is divided into five parallel thematic groups. The training will be given by recognized experts, with solid pedagogical experience.

At the official fly ticket presentation ceremony, the Ambassador praised a training course that "will allow students to deepen their technical knowledge and enrich their personal experiences with students from all over the region. Upon their return, the students will be able "to serve their institutions and the development of their country."
