The third haj flight carrying 254 of the country's haj pilgrims under Syarikat Darussalam Holdings Sendirian Berhad on board Royal Brunei Airlines BI4218 touched home soil at around half past three this afternoon. The third group of haj pilgrims included officers from the Haj Management Office for Administration and Syarikat Darussalam Holding Sendirian Berhad.

Upon arrival, Doa Selamat was read by Mudim Awang Haji Amran bin Haji Mohd Salleh, Mosque Affairs Officer from the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

The returning Haj pilgrims were greeted by Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs and Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs. Also in attendance were Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Aziz bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Lela Haji Yussof, the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs; Awang Haji Khairuddin Bin Haji Abdul Hamid, Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Finance; Awang Roslan bin Haji Taja'ah, the Deputy Permanent Secretaries at the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Meshal Abdullah A. Habshan, a representative from the Embassy of Saudi Arabia.

Happiness was clearly evident at the Brunei International Airport as the pilgrims and their waiting families reunited after a month long separation during the haj season. The last Haj Flight is expected to arrive on Friday at around 12.45 in the afternoon.
