LXML Pays Government US$4 Million Royalty For Q2 Production

Sep 5, 2017, MMG LXML Sepon, Mr Saman Aneka, Director and Manager Stakeholder Relations handed $4,040,244.21 royalty for second quarter 2017 to Ms Kaseumsy Phommavongsa - Director General of the State Asset Department, Ministry of Finance, Lao PDR.
(KPL) On 5th September 2017, Mr. Saman Aneka – Director and Stakeholder Relations Manager, MMG LXML Sepon, handed the Quarter 2, 2017 Royalty of over US$ 4.04 million to Ms. Kaseumsy Phommavongsa, Director General of State Asset Department, Ministry of Finance.
This brings total royalties paid by LXML in 2017 to over US$ 8.56 million. Since production commenced in 2003, MMG LXML Sepon has contributed approximately US$1.4 billion in direct revenue to the Lao government.
During the second quarter of 2017, Sepon mine produced 15,606 tonnes of copper. Sepon is continuing to mine and process lower grade and more complex ore types. In 2017, LXML expects to produce approximately 65,000 – 75,000 tonnes of copper.
