The government has provided a relief package worth 140 million kip for Sonca victims in Khammouan and Savannakhet Provinces.

The relief aid included 70 million kip for Khammouane and the same amount for Savannakhet.

Over 1,600 hectares of farmland have been flooded when the tropical storm Sonca hit the provinces last month.

Over 3,700 families in Khammouane Province have been affected by flooding.
